Welcome to Amberlea Country Kennels and Cattery.

We are friends of your best friends; we offer secure and comfortable accommodation with lots of care and attention for each individual boarder.

Based in Ely we take clients from all over and being established for over 30 years you can be sure your pet will be well looked after and cared for!

Boarding Kennels in Cambridgeshire

We host the greyhound trust dog show every year, and also the Cambridge fly ball team train here! We welcome all general public clients to use our kennels. We offer daily boarding facility, long and short term stays. We offer many types of accommodation to suit yours pet's needs and requirements. All kennels are heated with external runs.

We feed how you feed which includes the type of food but also how many times a day your pet is fed. Each dog is walked twice daily over 4 acres of secure enclosed meadows. Your dog also has additional playtime with our fully trained staff.

All cat pens are centrally heated with additional head pads. Our kennels and cattery is purpose built with your pets comfort in mind. We can cater for small animals but there is limited availability.

All staff hold qualifications in animal care and have refresher training regularly. All staff are trained at our local vets to administer medication and insulation injections. We are also fully licenced and inspected annually by the local council. We are also fully insured!

Specialist Animal Accommodation

We can cater for elderly pets, pets on medication and pets with diabetes as we our staff are well trained to be able to cope with their needs. We run an open door policy for viewings so please pop down anytime during our opening times. we also strongly recommend that when you bring your dog down you don't drop them off at the gate, but bring them down to the kennels and help them settle in, also please bring an item of clothing that you have worn to help them feel in familiar surroundings.

We offer discounts on multiple dogs sharing the same kennels (only dogs from the same family can share) and we offer a loyalty scheme for bulk buy pet food.

When you come for your viewing if you pet is fully vaccinated please feel free to bring them to view the kennels, also to help them familiarise themselves with the surroundings. All pets must be up to date with flea treatment, worming and vaccinations, inlcuding kennel cough, to board your dog here.

Winter - 1 Oct to 31 March - Mon, Tue, Thurs and Fri 9-12.30pm, Sat 9-4pm, Sun 9.30-12.30pm

Summer - 1 April to 30 Sept - Mon - Fri, 9-5 pm, Sat 9-4pm, Sun and Bank Hols 9.30-12.30pm
